Some questions are not for a list you already hold.

Everything else on this site begins with people you already know — your customers, your employees, your patients. Some questions have no such list: what a neighbourhood makes of a road, what a city makes of a service, what a market thinks before you have a single customer in it.

• There is no list to upload

  A closed study starts with contacts and the client’s confirmation that those people may lawfully be contacted. A public question starts with a poster, a message or a shared link, and whoever chooses to answer it.

• Whoever answers has chosen to, and that must be said

  People who volunteer an opinion are not a representative sample of anyone. That is a genuine limit of an open topic, and a published figure that hides it is worse than no figure at all.

Open Pulse is a public topic anyone can answer from a shared link or a printed code — no invitation, no list, no account. It is the open sibling of the closed studies this site sells, and it runs on the same conversation.

• Answered from wherever the link was found

  The respondent opens it, sees what will be recorded, agrees or leaves, and speaks in their own language. No account is created, because none is needed.

• Reported as trends, never as people

  Results are published as de-identified trends with small groups withheld, so a published figure cannot be walked back to the one person who said it.

• Sponsored, not sold by the response

  Closed studies are bought as response packs. An open topic is carried by a sponsor instead, and who sponsored a topic is stated on the topic itself.

Opening a survey to the general public raises consent and data-rights questions a closed, invited study does not, and we are getting those right before Open Pulse opens.

Open Pulse is not open yet. Until it is, every study WTN runs is a closed one, on a list the client owns and confirms they may lawfully contact.
